The game was tied until the 25th minute when national team forward Alina Müller scored two goals within 45 seconds and thus secured a 3-1 lead for the Lions. Nina Waidacher's 4-1 in the 39th minute of play was echoed by Evelina Raselli's goal 37 seconds later, but the goal scored on the power play by 15-year-old Lara Christen secured the Lions' victory.
For the Masterround, which will start after the international break on November 18, the points which were gained in the Qualification will be divided by two. Thus, the Lions will only remain three points ahead of Lugano and five points ahead of Thun. Apart from Lugano and Zürich, EV Bomo Thun, SC Reinach, and the Neuchâtel Hockey Academy will be fighting for a spot in the playoffs.
