The 22-year-old forward has signed a one-year deal with Kärpät Oulu.

As his agent Markus Lehto told YLE, Finland's public broadcaster, last week, several clubs were interested in acquiring Jesse Puljujärvi, amon them also KHL teams. His name was also brought up by Klaus Zaugg (Watson) as a potential candidate for teams in Switzerland.

This will be the the forward's second season with Kärpät after his return to the Liiga from the NHL in 2019. Last season, he recorded 24 goals and 29 assists in 56 games.
