Almost exactly two years after his last extension, the French forward and his club have agreed to another one.

His current contract running out coming spring, Eliot Berthon has signed a two-year extension with Genève-Servette HC. After returning to the club in 2018, the forward will now stay until 2024. Prior to that, he had left the Grenats in 2014.

"Eliot is a true leader in the locker room and an example for the young players. I am very happy to have him with us in the coming seasons", team manager Marc Gautschi states.

"Geneva is my club of heart. I arrived here very young and it gave me a lot. I owe a lot to this city which allowed me to live my passion, to start a family, and to live unforgettable experiences," Berthon himself comments. "I am really lucky to have ended up here. This contract extension makes me very proud and I will continue to do everything I can to give back to the club, the fans, and this city."

A French citizen, the 29-year-old is in possession of a Swiss players' licence and thus does not count against the import limit.
