National League

As Klaus Zaugg writes on Watson, Lars Leuenberger will supposedly take over for John Fust as head coach of Switzerland's U20 national team in the 2016-17 season. As for his brother Sven, his future is not yet clear.

Leuenberger had already been brought up in connection with the U20 team in January, but had then said to the Neue Zürcher Zeitung that he had been contacted but never was concretely interested in the position and never applied for it. "The only thing I know is that the federation has asked him", tells his brother Sven Watson.

As for the former team manager, who stepped down to give his brother the opportunity to become SC Bern's head coach after the firing of Guy Boucher, his future is not yet clear. While he has a contract with SC Bern until the end of 2016-17, he does not yet now what his task will be for the next season.

He has received offers from teams regarding a team manager position, but "not from a NLA team" and he is, according to the same source, not interested in the NLB. However, he also has received offers from outside of the hockey community: "Those are more serious options for me." CEO Marc Lüthi, on the other hand, is currently not willing to say anything about the future of the brothers. (mso)
