HC Fribourg-Gottéron has presented their plans for the renovation of the BCF Arena today. According to La Liberté, the Club decided to increase the capacity of the arena to 8,500 spectators.

The renovation should start in 2017 and is supposed to last over the course of two years. However, they should be able to play while the stadium is getting renovated. The cost of the project is estimated at 70 million Swiss francs. The current rink and spectator ranks will be preserved. The city of Fribourg is going to continue to be the owner of all the infrastructure. (abu)
