As the Tribune de Genève reports, Almond is on the verge of signing a one-year, one-way contract with the Minnesota Wild. According to Michael Russo (StarTribune), he will earn $ 550'000 during his stay with the Wild.

"It is a big loss for us," GSHC's team manager and head coach Chris McSorley said, "but I am very happy for him that he can revive the adventure in the greatest League in the World."

Almond came to the shores of Lake Geneva from Minnesota in 2012. Since then, he has completed a total of 102 games with the Grenats, scoring 26 goals and 45 assists.
