Lucas Smith, who is Swiss Canadian, played for EHC Basel for the past two seasons. Prior to his stint in Switzerland, he played NCAA III hockey in the USA.
Last season, Smith recorded one goal and four assists in 16 games for Basel. He also played eleven games for them in the playoffs.
