Medical Report

After many years of suffering, the doctors have finally found the root of the 34-year-old's health problems.

Philippe Seydoux has been suffering for years.
SC Langenthal

"Thanks to extensive and unprecedented medical examinations, I now know what the situation is," the forward of SC Langenthal writes in a letter to journalist Grégory Beaud (Sport-Center), published in 20 minutes. "I have been suffering from an acute parasitic deficiency for years. (...) As a result, my immune system has reached its limits."

The past years have been tough for Seydoux, not just physically. "For nearly fifteen years now, I have been observing a deterioration in my physical and mental condition," he explains. "It has become increasingly difficult to meet the demands of everyday life."

Having played only three games with SC Langenthal this season, Philippe Seydoux does not yet know when he will return to the ice, but he is optimistic: "After years of doubt and uncertainties, the path ahead seems promising and realistic, with the prospect of a full recovery of my physical capabilities."
