According to RSI, one of the names that has come up regarding HC Ambrì-Piotta's vacant goaltending position(s), is the one of Joel Daccord, son of Brian Daccord, who minded the net for the Biancoblù in the late eighties.

The 20-year-old Swiss-American would potentially backup Gauthier Descloux, who will also play on loan for the Biancoblù in the 2017-18 season. Daccord played for the Arizona State University this season, posting a .892 save percentage in the 15 games he appeared in. In 2015, he was drafted in the seventh round by the Ottawa Senators in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.
