Jakub Nakládal, until recently member and captain of HC Dynamo Pardubice, might continue his career in Switzerland.

Czech reinforcement for the Dragons?
HC Dynamo Pardubice

A few days ago, HC Dynamo Pardubice announced that their captain, Jakub Nakládal, terminated his contract with them due to personal reasons. The defenseman is apparently not allowed to suit up for any other team in the Extraliga, but he may do so in other leagues. As iSport writes, citing Czech newspaper Sport, he might be joining HC Fribourg-Gottéron.

The Dragons' team manager Christian Dubé confirms to Blick's Grégory Beaud that there is at least some interest in the Czech. "His name has indeed come on the table. I am scouting the market, but no one will be signed before the Olympic break."

Nakládal spent his later junior and early pro-years with Pardubice before leaving them for the KHL during the 2011-12 season. He would go on to play in the Liiga, the NHL and the AHL, and then again in the KHL. In 2020, the 34-year-old returned to Czechia and his former team.
