He will receive a one-year, two-way contract, which he, according to the Freiburger Nachrichten, signed last week. Voisard tells La Liberté that two or three teams were interested in the goaltender. Ludovic Waber and Voisard then went through the offers and decided on the most suitable team.

"For us, it was important that he could be one of the three goalkeepers in the organization, that he had a real chance to play in the NHL so that he could, why not, experience what Akira Schmid has experienced. Now it's up to him to do the job," Voisard states.

As for his now former employer, the ZSC Lions, they will not sign another goaltender. Instead, they will entrust the role of the backup goaltender to Jeffrey Meier.
