Back in April, the Vorarlberger Nachrichten reported that EHC Kloten was interested in Simeon Schwinger but that was before they were promoted to the National League.

At the time, Schwinger, who is in possession of a Swiss players' license, had told the Austrian newspaper that it had always been his dream to play in Switzerland one day. He now gets the chance to suit up for EHC Olten.

Schwinger has been (partially) playing for Dornbirn Bulldogs since 2018. This season, he recorded nine goals and nine assists in 44 regular-season games for them. He also appeared in 14 games for the Vienna Capitals, putting up one assist.
