According to the Neue Zürcher Zeitung, EHC Olten wants to acquire Mason McTavish. The 17-year-old is slated to play in the OHL this season, but with the start of the season being delayed indefinitely, Olten might have a chance to get him to play in Switzerland.

Olten has already one player in their midst who is expected to be picked in the first round of the 2021 NHL Entry Draft: Brennan Othmann. The 18-year-old forward, who is in possession of a Swiss passport, has done well for the Mice, recording seven goals and eight assists in 17 games.

Speaking of Othmann, Switzerland's U20 national team was interested in calling him up for their last gathering, but Othmann has another goal: "I'm happy about the interest. And I don't rule anything out. But at the moment I'm leaning towards choosing Canada. Simply because I've spent seventeen years of my life there."
