The Swiss Ice Hockey Federation initially demanded from HC Ambrì-Piotta to finish building their new arena by 2018 at the latest. However, in November last year, the club had then asked the SIHF for permission to postpone the mandatory move to the new Valascia from 2018 to 2019.
According to this new agreement, HCAP would thus be playing in their new arena as of the 2019-20 season.
