According to Le Matin, and, despite a still valid contract in Zürich until 2018, Kenins would have signed a long-term deal in Lausanne. However, as 24 heures reports later the day, based on their own sources, the said transfer is not going to take place.
Kenins returned to the ZSC Lions last summer after having played in North America for the Vancouver Canucks and the Utica Comets, their AHL affiliate, for two seasons. This term, the 26-year-old Latvian, who has a Swiss license, played 51 games for Zurich, scoring six goals and ten assists.
