Stewart started the current season for Automobilist Yekaterinburg in the KHL where he scored 1 goal and 1 assist in 19 games. The 28yr-old has also an NHL-experience of 262 games (27 goals, 44 assists) for the Florida Panthers, the Atlanta Thrashers and the Carolina Hurricanes.

He is expected to arrive at BCF-arena in the course of tomorrow. He will improve Gottéron's import-situation with both Antti Miettinen and Marc-Antoine Pouilot injured. Stewart has signed a contract through to January 22 with an option (for the club) for the rest of the season.
