According to La Regione, Gordie Dwyer, currently head coach of Medvescak Zagreb, will take Kossmann's place behind the Biancoblù's bench. Dwyer is in his second year with the KHL club, which is currently dealing with financial problems. In this year's Spengler Cup, the 39-year-old Canadien served as assistant coach of Team Canada.

As HC Ambrì-Piotta confirmed later this morning, they have indeed fired Hans Kossmann. Furthermore, the name of the new head coach will be communicated as soon as all formalities have been taken care of. As the club informs, he will already attend to the training on Wednesday.
