NLA - HC Fribourg-Gottéron announces that current assistant coach René Matt will no longer be behind the bench of the Dragons' first team in the next season. Gerd Zenhäusern will thus have to look for a replacement.

The 42-year-old Canadian is currently in his ninth season with Gottéron and still has a valid contract until the end of the 2015-16 season. The Dragons want to honour that contract and will determine his new function within the organisations in the upcoming weeks.

Furthermore, as journalist Roland Guex (La Télé) suggests, Sylvain Rodrigue, HCFG's goaltending coach, might take over for Matte next year. The 41-year-old Canadian has worked with Gottéron since 2011. (mso)
