On Wednesday, September 14, the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers will host the ZSC Lions to open the 2022-23 National League season. On September 16, most of the other teams will have their first game. Only EHC Kloten will have to wait a little bit, their first one back in the top league will be on Sunday, September 18.

Said game will also be the first so-called "Game of the Week", which usually take place on a Sunday at 8 pm CE(S)T. They will be broadcasted on TV24 and Léman Bleu as well as at least six of them on TeleTicino. Blick will live-stream one Tuesday-game per week.

The postseason in Spring 2023 are scheduled to start with the Pre-Playoffs on March 7. Starting with the quarterfinal, the series will not, as has been the case so far, be all played on the same day, but on split days.

There still are some uncertainties regarding the readiness of the Swiss Life Arena for the ZSC Lions' home games as well as with teams participating in the CHL.
