If it was just up to him, his future would already be settled. Mauro Jörg would like to continue his career with HC Fribourg-Gottéron. "The team is great and the coaches trust me," Mauro Jörg tells La Liberté when asked if he would like to extend his stint in Fribourg. "Yes, I would like to stay."
Head coach and team manager Christian Dubé, however, hits the brakes. "Mauro is interesting," he says to the same source. "That said, I will not be able to keep everyone. Look at the number of forwards who are already under contract." Dubé's focus is currently set on the contract extension with Samuel Walser. Mauro Jörg's case thus has to wait.
