Christer Olsson, currently an assistant coach with Örebro HK of the Swedish Hockey League, will become Lundeskog's assistant in the summer, according to a report by Berner Zeitung. A defenseman in his time, Olsson is expected to become Bern's defensive coach.

The 50-year-old began coaching right after his retirement in 2004. He spent most of his staff career in Sweden, with a four-year-stint in Austria in between. During the 2012-13 season, he led Klagenfurter AC to the EBEL Championship.

Bern's coaching staff is not yet complete however with the contracts of Mario Kogler (acting head coach/U20 coach), Alex Reinhard (assistant coach), and Petri Tuononen (goalie coach) all expiring this summer.
