"I haven't had any contact with Djugården's team manager since I left," Brodin tells La Liberté. "I have no other plans than to stay in Fribourg, no matter what. This is my team." With this, Daniel Brodin reacts on a report from Sweden that Joakim Eriksson, team manager of Djugårdens IF, is trying to lure him back to his former team

HC Fribourg-Gottéron's head coach and team manager Christian Dubé says that Brodin, whose contract is valid until 2022, has never approached him about this matter: "I will never hold back a player who wants to leave," he explains. "I haven't heard anything like that about Daniel. I re-signed him for two years because I was happy with him. I'm still happy with him."

This season, however, Daniel Brodin has been the odd man out in ten games already. In eight appearances for the Dragons, he managed to score two goals.
