On the lookout for an additional import player, the Lions are apparently interested in the "Dutch Gretzky".

Will Dale Weise be part of this huddle next season?

With Maxim Shalunov staying in Russia, Lausanne HC is still looking to acquire an import. According to iSport, Michael Frolik is one of the targets. Another one seems to be current Montreal Canadiens-forward Dale Weise. As 24 heures writes, there have been talks.

The Canadian is still under contract for the remainder of the delayed NHL-playoffs and is currently part of their training camp roster. This means that, in case he was to sign with the Lions, he might be joining the team at a later time, depending on how deep the Habs' run will be.

Weise has been part of 553 NHL-games (with Montreal, the Vancouver Canucks and the Philadeplhia Flyers) and has managed to put up 61 goals and 75 assists so far. His nickname, "Dutch Gretzky", stems from the time he spent in the Dutch league during the 2012-13 lockout, when he suited up for the Tilburg Trappers, recording 22 goals and 26 assists in 19 games.
