Despite still having a contract with HC Davos for another year, Joren van Pottelberghe is likely to join EHC Biel. "With Davos, everything has been resolved, as well as with Joren and the agent. But we have yet to sign the contract", Martin Steinegger is cited by the Bieler Tagblatt. Biel's team manager states that there still is a chance that it might not happen, but one can assume that van Pottelberghe will suit up for the Seelanders next season.

A member of Davos since 2016, the netminder has been loaned to different teams last year. This season, he shares the starting job with Sandro Aeschlimann. For next season, HCD has also signed Robert Mayer, which would lead to them having three goalies.

In other Biel-related news, Damien Riat was able to suit up for the team's friendly game against St-Imier yesterday. He will be ready to go in January, having overcome his concussion.
