Pettersson had been issued a six-game suspension for a check from behind against HC Lugano's Maxim Lapierre in late April. Now, the Lions have decided to appeal the verdict. The SIHF Tribunal will thus re-examine the case. Pettersson scored 33 goals and 32 assists in 63 games for the Lions last season.
