Lars Leuenberger, 40, whose contract with SC Bern is running out at the end of this season, has been part of the U20 coaching discussion since January when the Federation reportedly knocked on his door and asked if he was interested in the job. Back then, Leuenberger declined.
The 41-year-old Michel Zeiter, on the other hand, has not had a job since he had to leave the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers at the end of the 2014-15 season. Before that, the former player of the ZSC Lions acted as Anders Eldebrink's assistant coach and as head coach of EHC Visp. (tme)
