Ten days ago, EHC Biel decided to appeal against Maurer suspension. Accordingly, the League tribunal had a look at the incident and decided not to uphold the decision.

Initially, Maurer was suspended for eleven games after he pushed a referee in the Seelanders' game against HC Ambrì-Piotta on February 26. Now, the defenseman will be able to return to the lineup for Biel's second game of the playout final. (bsc)
