EHC Visp's head coach Scott Beattie has found a new employer, at least for now. With immediate effect, he will serve as head coach of the SCL Tigers and will stay in the Emmental until the end of the current season.

Beattie joined EHC Visp in the end of December. As Le Nouvelliste reported ten days ago, Visp is working on a contract extension with their Canadian coach, despite their loss to EHC Olten in the playoff quarterfinals. Due to a still valid contract in Visp, he will thus be coaching on loan in the Emmental.

As a consequence, head coach Benoît Laporte will have to leave the Tigers with immediate effect, even though team manager Jörg Reber denied this option just two days ago. Laporte's contract is expiring in spring. (bsc)
