The 25-year-old Swede, who is still under contract with the Chicago Blackhawks until the end of the 2016-17 season, has appeared in nine NHL-games for them this term (two assists) before he cleared waivers on December 30 and was assigned to the Hawks' AHL affiliate team, the Rockford IceHogs.

Originally formed in Skellefteå (SWE), Rundblad has an overall experience of 118 NHL-games (25 points) with the Ottawa Senators, Phoenix Coyotes and the Chicago Blackhwaks. Furthermore, he has appeared in 35 games for Sweden's national team and was able to win the Silver medal with the "Tre Kronor" at the 2011 World Championship. (rlu)
