National League

NLA - As it can be read in today's Bieler Tagblatt, Kevin Gloor, who will not get an extension with EHC Biel, has decided to hang up his skates and put an end to his professional ice hockey career.

Gloor, who has obtained a degree in economics on the side during his hockey career, sees it as a good moment to stop. "Of course I would have liked to play one or two more years in the highest league." But the center turned defenseman does not want to continue playing in the NLB or the first league. "It is time to take on life after sport."

Gloor has been set back by many injuries over the past years but always fought his way back. Currently, the 31-year-old is the odd man out for the Seelanders, waiting for another shot in case a forward or defenseman is injured.

In his career, Kevin Gloor has played 377 NLA games (23 goals, 56 assists) for EV Zug, the ZSC Lions and EHC Biel.

As for the other defensemen not staying with EHC Biel, Claudio Cadonau could be heading in direction of HCAP and Manuel Gossweiler would like to return to the region of Zurich, be that in the NLA or NLB, reports the same source. (lcu)
