Medical Report

MEDICAL REPORT - Christoph Bertschy, who is currently recovering from a shoulder injury, would like to play in the World Championship in May. However, it is not yet clear, if he actually can.

"The final decision will fall next week, but I think, I should be able to go. I certainly would be up for it, " says the 21-year-old forward in an interview with Der Bund.

The SC Bern player, who was drafted in the sixth round of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft by the Minnesota Wild, also talks about his future, which lies in North America, as he hopes. However, nothing is concrete as of now: "Nothing is fixed yet, but I am not stressed out about it."

The Wild hold Bertschy's rights for one more season and thus the time is now for the young forward to try his luck in North America. However, Bertschy remains realistic: "I think I will have to play one or two years in the AHL and I am going to give me this time, that is for sure." (mso)
