National League

NLA - As HC Fribourg-Gottéron informs, they have not activated the option to extend forward Anthony Stewart's contract until the end of the season. Therefore, Stewart now hits the market.

With not activating their option on Stewart, Fribourg-Gottéron buy themselves some time to come to a definite decision. Thus, although Stewart is officially on the market as of tomorrow, it does not seem to be impossible that he will stay with Fribourg after all.

However, Fribourg-Gottéron has also cast an eye on the former NHL- and HCD-player Niklas Hagman. The Finnish forward is currently under contract with Ässät Pori in the Finnish SM-Liiga, but as they are now without chances to reach the playoffs, he is on the market.

Anthony Stewart, for his part, has scored three goals and 15 assists in a total of 13 games with HC Fribourg-Gottéron.
