Roth's club, Lausanne HC, had filed an appeal against the decision of the league to sanction the Czech defenseman with a fine.

As the appeal has been rejected, Vladímir Roth will indeed have to pay CHF 2'000.-. The action for which Roth was found guilty happened on April 1 in the game between Lausanne HC and Genève-Servette HC. After being hit with a stick by Marco Miranda, Roth fell on the ice, exaggerating the fall.
