Louis Robin played for Rimouski Océanic last season. He required shoulder surgery and thus missed the start of the season. As the QMJHL does not have a special status for injured players, Rimouski decided back in June that they would not keep him and instead draft another import player.

Robin has now recovered from his surgery and will play in Shawinigan's game against his former team on Thursday. Last season, the forward recorded eleven goals and 22 assists in 53 games.
