The succession of Christian Wohlwend, who went to Davos, has been arranged: Thierry Paterlini will take over as head coach of the U20 national team with immediate effect. Paterlini has been head coach of the U18 national team since the 2015-16 season. With the U18, he has since successfully maintained his place in the Top Division at the World Championships. In the 2014-15 season, the 44-year-old was also assistant coach of the senior national team.

Swiss Ice Hockey has also already filled the vacancy for the U18 head coach: Martin Höhener takes over the position with immediate effect. The 38-year-old has been head coach of the U17 national team since 2017 and simultaneously worked for Swiss Ice Hockey as head of the U17 and U16 levels, where he was responsible for player selections and active scouting. Between 2015 and 2017, he was also assistant coach of the U18 national team. The successor of Höhener as head coach of the U17 national team will be determined in the future.
