At 27, Yannick Hänggi decided to hang up his skates. The defender asked and received an early contract termination. Throughout his career, Hänggi mainly suited up in the Swiss League but also played a few games in the National League with HC Davos, SC Bern, and HC Ajoie.

For an outgoing transfer, EHC Winterthur registers two inbound transactions: defender Nicolas Warmbrodt joins them from EHC Basel, and forward Ramon Kaufmann arrives from the U20 squad of the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers. Whereas Warmbrodt signed a two-year contract, Kaufmann has been inked only for the upcoming season.

This season, Warmbrodt suited up 24 times for EHC Basel, collecting two assists. Additionally, the 21-year-old also suited up for SC Langenthal in the MyHockey League. For his part, 20-year-old Kaufmann recorded 23 points in 36 games.
