After a two-faced season in which they won the Champions Hockey League and lost in the play-in tournament, Genève-Servette HC is working with confidence ahead of the upcoming season. In an approach to stability, the renewals of soon-to-be 34-year-old Teemu Hartikainen and 32-year-old Sakari Manninen are announced.

Team manager Marc Gautschi is sure that both players can achieve even more than they have done so far: "Teemu is one of the most important players on the ice and in the dressing room, and we are sure that he will show again his exceptional scoring qualities. Sakari is one of the most complete centers in Europe, and he's going to give us again lot of quality in this position. There's no doubt that he'll be even more dominant next season."

In his second season with the Grenats, Hartikainen scored nine goals (compared to 36 goals in his first season) and collected 24 assists in 53 games. For his part, Manninen put up 19 goals and 24 assists in 52 games. In the Champions Hockey League, Hartikainen recorded eleven points while Manninen nine.
