They will thus have to look for his successor. Andrew Ebbett, on the other hand, will stay on as team manager and focus on his search for a new head coach.

SC Bern

As Lüthi tells Watson, he will step down as president in the coming summer and he has already a candidate in mind. It will thus remain to be seen who his successor will be. As for Lüthi's tenure as CEO, he is planning to remain in the position for several years.

Asked whether his health will not be impacted by his decision to return to the operative side of things, he had this to say to the Berner Zeitung: "In the next two to three years, I will do the job as CEO myself. I have been healthy again for eight months and have no complaints. How long one is fit, nobody knows at my age."

While Raeto Raffainer had to leave Bern after less than a year as the CEO of SC Bern, team manager Andrew Ebbett will remain in his position. "He takes responsibility and stays."

Ebbett's next target is a new head coach. According to Lüthi's statement in Watson, Ebbett is conducting his search together with a task force. Once their selection is made, the board of directors will also have a say in it.

It remains to be seen whom they will choose, as, according to the Neue Zürcher Zeitung, they have received several applications for the vacant position. One of the applicants is apparently Jeremy Colliton. The 38-year-old coached Mora IK for four seasons, the Chicago Blackhawks for almost four seasons, and last coached the Abbotsford Canucks in the AHL.
