The short-term contract Yohann Auvitu signed with Genève-Servette HC in January contained an option to extend until the end of the season. As the Tribune de Genève reports, this option has been activated.
"We decided to keep him, because Yohann is currently delivering exactly the performance we expected from him", team manager Marc Gautschi states. "Between him, who can step up to the occasion, and the club, which still has to deal with absences on defense despite the imminent return of Sami Vatanen, this is a win-win situation."
Since joining the Grenats from Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk, the 33-year-old has made eleven games and recorded five assists.
