SC Langenthal has signed a second import. Joining from the Fjordkraft-ligaen's Stavanger Oilers, Steve Whitney is reinforcing them on a try-out basis. The 31-year-old has time to convince the club of his qualities until the international break in November.

Before spending last season in Norway, Whitney mainly played in his home country, the US. Coming up through the US High School Prep system, he went on to play in the NCAA for a few years. In 2013, he got picked up by the Norfolk Admirals and started bouncing around the AHL and ECHL for a while, until he joined the DEL's Iserlohn Roosters in March of 2021.

The future wearer of the number ten with Langenthal will not yet be able to suit up for his new club's game tonight.
