Mauro Dufner is done, but Christian Dubé still has some work to do. Still negotiating with Nathan Marchon, it seems likely that the forward will stay with HC Fribourg-Gottéron. "At the moment it is more complicated for him, but that does not change the fact that I want to keep him in Fribourg", the team manager states to La Liberté.
On defense, there are still open spots for the coming season. One of those might go to Juuso Vainio. The Finn's one-year deal apparently includes an option for an additional one. Reportedly "very pleased" with the defenseman's play, Dubé is strongly considering the activation of the option.
Fellow import Ryan Gunderson, 37 years of age, is not yet ready to put an end to his career and would like to stay with Fribourg if possible.
