National League

The Swedish coach has reportedly not made use of his out-clause and will stay with the National League team until 2023.

Rikard Grönborg's contract with the ZSC Lions includes an out-clause which would have had to be taken until midnight on new year's eve. It would have allowed the Swede to quit after the current season. As the Neue Zürcher Zeitung writes, the 53-year-old did not make use of it and thus will be the head coach of the Lions until 2023.

Earlier this season, there were rumors that Avangard Omsk showed interest in the Swede as a replacement for Bob Hartley, but the KHL-club's chairman shut those down. Later on, there was another report that there is interest for the coming season, but that matter should now be settled as well.
