The contract of the 29-year-old forward with HC Fribourg-Gottéron expires at the end of the season. That head coach and team manager Christian Dubé wants to keep him has already been clear, but now he has offered a new contract to Walser, La Liberté reports.

Walser himself says to the same source that he is "not in a hurry" to settle his future, although he reiterated his desire to stay in Fribourg. About two weeks ago, La Liberté reported that Walser has recently also been in contact with other clubs.

Samuel Walser has been with HC Fribourg-Gottéron since 2018. Last season he appeared in a total of 54 championship games for the Dragons, in which he recorded 24 points (eight goals).
