Defenseman and Swedish international Jonas Ahnelöv, 27, has decided to move from MODO Hockey to Avangard Omsk in the KHL, as the KHL-team announces. Also confirmed by the respective club - AK Bars Kazan - is that the 26-year-old Canadian forward Justin Azevedo has extended his contract. Both, therefore, definitely won't hit Swiss ice in the upcoming season. (tme)

KHL - Jonas Ahnelöv (photo) and Justin Azevedo have been rumoured to join the Swiss league as of next season. Both, however, have now signed with KHL-teams. Ahnelöv joins Avangard Omsk and Azevedo stays with AK Bars Kazan.
