No KHL regular season game during the Spengler Cup
SPENGLER CUP - Back in May, Schweiz am Sonntag reported that there might be a KHL regular season game being played at the Vaillant Arena during the Spengler Cup. However, according to Die Südostschweiz, those plans fell through.

With KHL-teams Jokerit Helsinki (FIN), Medvescak Zagreb (CRO), and Salavat Yulaev Ufa (RUS) all participating in the Spengler Cup, such a game was not out of the realm of possibility.
However, according to Georges Lüchinger, the schedule of the tournament did not allow for a match-up of the KHL-teams.
