Ahnelöv, who recently suited up for the Swedish national team at the World Championship in the Czech Republic (two assists in 13 games), mainly played for MODO Hockey during the past four years. Last season, the 27-year-old was able to put up twelve points (3 goals, 8 assists) in a total of 41 games.

Arizona Coyotes' third-round pick at the 2006 NHL draft is described as a big defender, who plays a well-rounded game and has decent offensive instincts, too. (rlu)
