As Svensson writes in his blog, Andersson seems to be close to signing with the Rapperswil-Jona Lakers or EV Zug, after he has recently denied rumors about following his father to the shores of lake Lugano.
The 19-year-old defender, who is in possession of a Swiss licence, is described as an all-around two-way defenseman, who contributes offensively and defensively. Furthermore he is skating well for a big guy (1,88m / 96kg) and has an impressive decision making. He has been drafted by the New York Rangers in 2012 as 119th overall.
In the past season, Andersson has completed 49 games with the Malmö Redhawks in Sweden's second highest league, scoring three goals and ten assists.
