RUMOR - According to the Swedish blog hockeynonsens.se, the Rapperswil-Jona Lakers have acquired another Swedish import player for the upcoming season. They will soon announce the signing of forward Mikael Johansson from Leksand in the SHL.

Mikael Johansson was Leksand’s leading scorer in the past season with nine goals and 31 assists in 58 games. The 28-year-old had joined Leksand the past summer after spending most of his career with Färjestad BK.

Johansson had already made it clear that he does not want to stay with his current team and now it seems as if he has decided to embark on an adventure outside of the Swedish Hockey League and join the Rapperswil-Jona Lakers. There he would be welcomed by fellow Swedes Nicklas Danielsson, Niklas Persson, and - of course - coach Anders Eldebrink.
