RUMOR - As journalist Dusan Umicevic (SVT) reports on his hockey blog, HC Davos is looking to sign the Swedish forward Dick Axelsson for the next season.

The 26-year-old forward currently plays in the Swedish Hockey League for Frölunda, but his contract expires at the end of this season.

According to Umicevic, HC Davos was not sure if they wanted to sign the Swedish international, because - despite his talent - he could never really live up to the expectations. Axelsson was a second-round draft pick for the Detroit Red Wings in 2006.

However, as Umicevic claims, Davos is willing to take a chance on the Swede and bring him to Switzerland.

Dick Axelsson has played the majority of his professional career with Färjestad and Frölunda in the SHL and has scored 35 points (ten goals, 25 assists) in 48 games for Frölunda this season.
