NHL - Since he has been drafted by the San Jose Sharks last year, Mirco Müller's big goal - the NHL - is in plain sight. As Sharks general manager Doug Wilson says, there's a good chance of seeing Müller in the Sharks jersey next season.

Wilson holds his 18th overall pick of last year's NHL Entry Draft in high esteem. To the question of Comcast Sportsnet if there is a chance that the 19-year-old defenseman could actually make the opening night roster, Wilson responded positively: "The answer is yes."

"We're committing to young players, and the players that are ready, will play. Mirco is already up to 206, 207 pounds. We have high expectations for him," Wilson continued. However, he also assured that they won't just give away roster spots and that the young players will have to show that they're ready at training camp. "If they are, they will play," Wilson added.

During the last two seasons, the native of Winterthur played mainly for the Everett Silvertips in the Western Hockey League (WHL), where he scored twelve goals and 61 points in 134 games. He also had the chance to play with San Jose's AHL affiliate, the Worcester Sharks, last season (two assists in nine games).
